Taking the next step can be difficult. We tend to get into a rut so easily, and we miss the opportunity. Taking The Next Step is a weekly reminder to take action. Be deliberate about your manhood, and you relationships with your wife and kids. What do you need to do to become more of the man, the husband, the father that you were created to be?

Here is this week’s edition of Take The Next Step!

Take The Next Step!

Summer is almost over (can you believe that?!?!), and school is about to start. That makes it the perfect time to have one final summer fun blowout before your family gets back into the schooltime routine.

So what are you going to do?

My family went to the Laura Ingalls Wilder home and museum a couple weeks ago, and we are planning a trip to Silver Dollar City once the weather cools down a bit. That will be after school begins, but we would rather hit the theme park when it’s not so hot.

In the meantime, a backyard campout or even a bonfire would be an excellent option. Or just a trip to the ice cream shop.

Regardless of what it is, do something with your family to celebrate the summer before it’s gone!

You can do it!

From Around The Web

The Dog Days Of Summer – That’s not just a regional nickname for the last days of summer, from July 22 to August 23. There is a very real and valid reason for why we call this time “the dog days of summer.” Did you know this?

18 Things You Can Do Before Summer Ends – Need some inspiration? Here is a list of several thing you can do before summer ends. And they don’t have to be expensive.

Silver Dollar City – This is the best theme park around, if you want my opinion. But I grew up going here, and then lived near it for several years, so I may be a bit biased.

Parting Quote

When summer opens, I see how fast it matures, and fear it will be short; but after the heats of July and August, I am reconciled, like one who has had his swing, to the cool of autumn. – Ralph Waldo Emerson
